Systems Analysis & Evaluation
Understanding how systems actually function day-to-day.
This typically involves:
reviewing policies and procedures
observing real workflows
speaking with staff across roles
examining near misses and casework as early warning signals
Near misses and casework are particularly valuable: they show where systems are already under strain, often before more serious failures occur.
The aim is to identify where communication breaks down, where effort is misplaced, and where failure is built into the system.
Turning analysis into practical, workable change.
This includes:
redesigning processes and structures
ensuring policies work together as a coherent system, rather than in isolation
closing gaps where people might otherwise fall between processes or responsibilities
planning implementation under real conditions
The focus is on solutions that people can actually use, not just theoretically correct ones.
Strategy & Implementation
Accessibility, Inclusion & Belonging
Understanding where people unintentionally encounter barriers and designing practical ways to remove them.
This may include:
accessibility reviews of physical, digital and procedural environments, incl. building reviews
reviewing policies and processes through an inclusion lens
identifying friction points, unintended barriers and exclusionary practices
disability and neurodiversity inclusion
communication reviews
reasonable adjustment processes and support pathways
improving belonging and psychological safety
The aim is to move beyond compliance and create systems that genuinely work for the people using them.
